
Andrew W. Francis, M.D. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmic surgeon. He provides his patients with compassionate and personalized care.
Dr. Francis became interested in ophthalmology as a medical student while volunteering in Ghana and Guatemala in a volunteer program. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of California at Berkeley and his medical school training at Boston University School of Medicine.
Dr Francis went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago and a fellowship in retina surgery at the University of California in San Francisco.
Dr Francis has been an attending physician in practice since 2018. Prior to entering private practice he was on staff at Northshore University Hospital. He has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and has published multiple book chapters.
In his free time, Dr Francis enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He enjoys exercising and is an avid reader. He welcomes patients from all walks of life.
